What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader adds a new widget to the top of the Angel and Cash Upgrade windows. This Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors and offers no gaming benefit other than making it easier to view and buy upgrades.

Some items have an inherent boos that are less beneficial when upgraded, like the Goldwrap which provides additional slots for potion. These are often upp'd to increase the value of the perfect or nearly perfect item.

Costs

Upgrades come with some associated costs. The first is the cost to perform the upgrade. This cost can be expensive and is contingent on the new value of the item upgrader mod and the number of perks it gets. It is also costly to upgrade an item to a higher tier (such as Explorer > Champion or Veteran > Heroic).

The other is the cost of materials required to upgrade. These are typically Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons, or specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor Quests. The amount of these materials required is available in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. It can take 8 hours, depending on the size of an upgrade. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated based on the new ilvl of the item, perks, and other properties. This calculation determines new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, as well as other important stats. In some instances, the upgrade will grant additional advantages that can be picked from a variety of benefits.

In rare instances, the upgrade will only replace the highest-costing perks. This item upgrader kit is beneficial in the event that you have an item or weapon equipment that has reached the maximum level for its tier or is close to it. It will allow you to upgrade that piece of gear to the next level without having to worry about it breaking.

If an upgrade is unsuccessful the upgrade will be reversed to its previous state. This is typically a downgrade, but can also be an upgrade. It is recommended to save upgrades for when you're near the maximum level of an item, and to use it as a last resort.

You can boost your chances of success by upgrading your equipment multiple times with HD Oridecon and HD Elunium. The success rate will also be enhanced if you boost your chances of receiving a Double Mint by Shoe-Minting five times.

Failure Rate
