If you're on a tight budget and don't need a stroller that can double as a car seat carrier The Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It has a simple, one-step foot brake that's flip flop comfortable.

It's also easy to push and feels sturdy when navigating kerbs or woodland paths. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the ultimate lightweight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, due to its extremely nimble handling and fold that fits in the overhead luggage of aeroplanes. This latest version features independent suspension on all four wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to perfectly traverse all terrains and types'.

The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 and the 6months of colour pack are combined to create a chic pushchair with a subtle elegant look. The frame itself weighs less than a kilo and is so light that you can easily lift it from the box (and do it using one hand).

It's also simple to add or remove adaptors or attachments such as the hood, for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 with reassuring clicks and is machine washable at 30 degrees to remove stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as an infant single wheel stroller. It can also be converted into a stroller at 6 months using the YOYO connect to additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a fantastic choice for parents looking for an adaptable stroller wagon. It transforms from a stroller to a wagon by simply flipping the handle, so parents can select the option they want to use on their trip. The wagon can accommodate one or two children from 6 months to 5 years, and it comes with a spacious storage basket to accommodate everything you require on the go.

The Xplore has two canopies that can rotate from front to back, offering adequate sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that's not as deep or large as other wagons, so it may not be ideal for long trips or napping.

The frame on the Xplore feels sturdy and solid but it doesn't have as much flex as some of the other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the competition and does not close tightly when folded. It is easy to move, however, and can fit through narrow doors of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents looking for a second stroller that is affordable. It scored a dazzling score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and size folded which means it's light, compact when folded and easy to lift into a car trunk or closet. It also has a multi-position reclined seat and a cup holder for the parent. Other features of note include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels and two large hanging storage bags.

In our push and turn test it performed better than many of the other strollers of a similar price we tested, but it's still not the most comfortable to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doorways. Its sunshades are among the smallest we tested, offering only direct overhead coverage, and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have significantly larger canopies.

The Delta took us just over 3 minutes to put together using an average manual and all of the components required tools. But, it's lacking some essential features that we believe it is important to consider as non-negotiable features for a double stroller such as an extra-large basket and reclining seats that have adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's newest pushchair, and is advertised as a travel system for urban use. It is designed to take baby from birth up to approximately 3.5 years old, easily changing between a seat and a carrycot with only a few clicks. It is compatible with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It includes a light Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in car-base and a reversible baby carriage.

The seat reclines with one hand, and the large shopping basket makes it simple for parents to help their child in and out. Although it is a narrow pushchair it handled the bumps of everyday life well and went through doorways without fuss.

The front wheels can be locked in a forward position or let them swivel which is helpful when traversing rough terrain. We let the front wheels to rotate while walking along an uneven path. It handled this reasonably well, although it seemed a little bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is a household name for their three-wheeled, all-terrain Jogging pushchairs, however they also make a good range of 4-wheeler strollers. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is easy to use and folds up small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It's heavier than other strollers we've tested, but because it comes with rubber composite wheels it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver on various terrains and even with two children with shopping bags and other items.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that are able to be lower to reveal a UV50and sun canopy extensions. They are durable and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams that can be blown back into toddlers' faces.

It's not the biggest of storage space, but it does have a large basket that's big enough to hold a changing bag and plenty of groceries. It can also be linked with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for babies as big as 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a excellent choice if you wish to use a stroller on the go.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first appeared on the scene it stole the hearts of parents all over the world. It's an aluminium framed stroller that will be with you throughout your baby's early days and beyond. It's got a few stand-out features including the ability to flip the seat between parent and world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy, an eye shade that flips out as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The chassis has a built-in suspension system that helps reduce the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made of tough foam and reduce punctures. Our tester found it smooth to push and was able to maneuver it through tight streets with ease.

It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It can also be folded and raised for easier transport down the stairs or in the trunk of the car. The travel system comes offered with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors included. The brakes are only one action and are color coded. They also work with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This single pushchair that is budget-friendly is extremely easy to use and comes with excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It's also light and robust. The seat can be reclined into several positions. It has a built-in double-breathable mattress that can be used for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat has two extra-large fixed or flip-out sun visors and both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't ideal since it's not as silent as Velcro and could wake up napping babies.

The Duet is a angled stroller that can accommodate twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and works with some carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be facing one another or rotate around to face their parents, potentially reducing sibling disputes over who gets to sit with mom and dad. It has a huge bottle holder, a gear tray, snack trays and an adjustable mat. It also comes with an automatic frame lock and a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger that's ideal for parents who want to keep active. It's among the lightest single running stroller strollers that you can purchase for your child. It comes with amazing safety features, including five-point harnesses and a secure wrist strap. It comes with a different kind of hand brake than other models that is an innovative twist.

The seat is padded and provides a wide area to sit. However, the seat isn't as deep as those of other joggers (it's only about 10") The storage bin is equipped with a zippered cover to help keep things secure. It can hold up to 10lbs that is enough for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with infant car seats or bassinets as of yet, but you can use it right from the start with the purchase of adapters to most seats from brands like BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It is simple to fold and assemble in 5-10 minutes without any tools. The instruction manual is simple to understand and comes in a variety of languages.
