World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example an item with the upgrade template ending in % will gain an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give an extra stat boost or impact while they're being used. They can be acquired through crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before a component can be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a kind of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix changing the name of the item to which it is applied (for instancefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players make stronger versions of the equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence characteristics of the weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.

The player can have up to five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-level version of the item will drop in the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their equipment even when they're not sure how much it can be improved upon the reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a substantial chance that the item could become obsolete or even break if it fails. A failure to upgrade can ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded Best item upgrader. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within the area around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded many ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 whenever you can.

You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes much faster.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values that it can improve a stat by, and the value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the many Glyphs and there are also a few rare Glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will require them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes connected to them, so it is Best item upgrader to place Glyphs in key places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for example, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to improve the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level requires a different amount of components to reach and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is upgraded.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be able to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When an individual player improves the equipment they have the original item is replaced by an item that is new. The same armor will receive a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set of bonuses. This could be a drawback, as it can cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't need it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to do so. This causes the Best item upgrader to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with a level 1 base and a totally different set of bonuses. This is a good idea however it should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times to increase their value, allows the player to modify their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or swims like dolphins). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the max roll by 10 points. This item can be very valuable in PvP as a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to boost the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate items and currency to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an item, it is given a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you exceed the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to go to its original state, requiring the player to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained, such as crit chance damage to attack, other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or the speed of reloading). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon increases its crit chance, the increase will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is computed every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item may have five upgrades, each costing 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players will need to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each upgrade to equipment will require different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the expenses listed above.
