Seats

It can accommodate twins starting at birth and accepts two car seats or a carrycot with seat. The seats must be facing toward the forward direction and there isn't space for an item under the seat. You will require an extra sidepack.

If you're looking to take off-road trips, the Mountain Buggy Duet is a great option. It's a side-byside model with the slimmest footprint of any double buggy available on the market. It can be used in 30 seating configurations, and has a built-in ride-on for older children who prefer to walk, plus a 'cinema seating' mode that raises the back seat for better visibility.

The phil&teds dot is a great single buggy from day 1 which is then able to take 2 (or 3 wheel stroller set!) Different configurations are possible. This is especially useful if you have a baby in a car. The frame can be fitted to a wedgie, which allows for the best lie-flat position. Or car seat adapters that work with various brands.

Suspension

The quality of the suspension on a triple buggy is essential to how easy it will be for you and your child to push. A smooth ride is crucial because babies feel every bump on the road, especially when it's in rough terrain such as grass or paths that aren't paved. Some models come with front tires that lock to help maneuver and get over obstacles like curbs.

Some models have air-filled tyres that are ideal for all-terrain riding, but they can be prone punctures. Make sure you keep an extra set of tyres inside the trunk. Others have foam or gel tyres, which are designed to take the bumps and can be less susceptible to punctures, however, you may find them a little stiff and uncomfortable on your child's back if you decide to run.
