What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader adds a new widget at the top of the Angel and Cash Upgrade windows. The Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no other benefit to the game, aside from making it easier to buy upgrades.

Boosters

The amount of extras gained when upgrading depends on the number of upgrades performed. Each upgrade boosts the corresponding extras by increments of 1, up to a maximum of three. Each upgrade will also boost the stats of the main game by +1.

Some upgrades also give you an additional random boost in addition to stat increases. These boosts are useful and should be taken into consideration when deciding what items to upgrade. Certain of these boosts may only be used in certain designs (such a Whistan's Shield for FB Sorcs) While others are valuable to collectors.

Some items come with built-in boos that is not effective when upgraded. For instance the Goldwrap has an extra potion slots. They are usually upgraded to increase the value of the perfect or nearly perfect item.

Costs

Upgrades come with a few associated costs. The first is the upgrade itself. This price is contingent on the item's new ilvl and the amount of perks it receives and can be costly. It can also be expensive to upgrade an item to a higher level (such as Explorer > Champion, or Veteran > Heroic).

The other is the cost of the materials required to upgrade. The items used for upgrades are usually either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21+) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable through completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). These materials can be found in the inventory of an upgrade items vendor.

Upgrading an item is a complex process that takes time. Based on the magnitude of the upgrade, it can take as long as 8 hours. The base stats of the upgraded item are calculated based upon its new ilvl and other properties. This calculation determines new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, as well as other important stats. In some cases, an upgrade can grant additional benefits. These perks are listed in a list.

In rare cases, the upgrade will replace only the most expensive bonuses. Occasionally, the upgrader will make other adjustments to an item upgrader kit, for example, changing the damage type of a weapon or or removing an operative or unwieldy property. The cost for these changes is based on the item's new ilvl, and may require a specific material like the adamantine alloy.

Success Rate

The process of upgrading an item is based on the chance. Like any random system, there is a possibility that it won't work. There are several methods to increase your odds of success. This includes the use of an Upgrade Pity or adding extra materials to your upgrade.

The Upgrade Pity is available from the NPC for smithing in Lost Ark. It increases the odds of a successful upgrade by an amount. This is similar to the luck bonus some items have but is more stable. It can be added to any weapon or armor and is able to be used up to three times.

It is also possible to add a variety of additional materials to the upgrade, thereby increasing its chance of success. These are displayed in a window that is above the + button. There are however limitations to this, and the highest amount of material that can be added is shown just above the + button in the UI.

Another method to increase the odds of a successful upgrade is by using an item called a Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item is beneficial when you own a weapon or piece of equipment that is at the highest level for its tier or is close to it. This item will allow you upgrade the equipment to the next tier without risking its breaking.

If an upgrade fails it will be restored to its previous state. This is usually a break, but it could also be a downgrade. You should save an upgrade until you're close to the maximum level of an item.

There are several items in the Kafra shop that can be used to improve the odds of a successful upgrade. You can boost your chances of success by upgrading your equipment multiple times with HD Oridecon and HD Elunium. Also, increasing the chances to receive a Double Mint from Shoe-Minting a maximum of five times will also increase the chance of success.

Failure Rate

The upgrader for items allows players to add a second slot to their equipment. These slots can be used to upgrade an item or apply an enhancement. You can also opt for a safeguard that will protect your product in the event of a failure. This protection isn't free, but the cost will be lower than the cost of a new item. The safeguard can only be used only once per upgrade and will not expire until used again.

The interface for the item upgrader is somewhat difficult, but not difficult to navigate. The main menu is displayed on the left side and the upgrade window appears on the right.
