item upgrades upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an item to 700 and add a final perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you bring them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded to increase their stats (like perfect broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not vary greatly post upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also come with a flat bonus that increases their damage per second. Additionally there are many weapons with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are present on a single unit. This bonus can sometimes be more than the damage that a weapon upgrade alone can cause.

A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgrades to weapons can also change the stats of the base. This is usually a positive aspect, but it may also have negative consequences. In the case of items that only see use in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them could render them unusable unless you get a lucky roll.

Armor items can also be upgraded to increase their stats. For example, if you upgrade chests or helms it will boost its defense base while a belt and gloves will enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor also offers a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it can sometimes change its roll to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats it will gain when upgrading, along with the values of these stats. This means that a weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will be hit for 3 fewer times, since it is an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by arrows that circle in the menu for items. This will reroll the Best item upgrader and change its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's level or bind to account status.

Armor

Adding a few upgrades to your armor could make a huge differences in your ability to survive. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE increases in resistance to poison, curses fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to navigate difficult terrains. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has, the more value you will get from each point of health you possess therefore it is important to upgrade your armor as much as possible.

To improve your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all, and each requires you to complete a unique side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the primary side quest and mastered the fountain in question, you can then contact any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.

The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. You'll need anywhere between three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade items your first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. For example the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep up with a decent-sized group of enemies in most cold conditions and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, giving the protection needed to survive a full on raid with a few friends.

You can't upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor to increase physical strength or spell power. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll wear at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you use for the final boss battle as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.

You can also unlock some perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. In general, you should save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have some upgrades of the helmets and chest armor that permit you to sneak past some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquid substances that, when consumed, give the user an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each with particular effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, enhancing their effectiveness. Alternatively, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to them.

Upgrades to potion require a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by making them on a table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion used and the item's rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI that allows you to choose the potion that you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll give you when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a single time, and the XP that they generate will be added to your current XP level.

Once a potion has been upgraded, it won't degrade until you use it again or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.

There were a few updates to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. For instance, splash potions now have an average duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display for the item). The table of potion now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be combined in cauldrons. Similarly, using a potion on a full cauldron drains the contents and replenishes the bottle.

Trinkets

A trinket is an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece jewelry. It could also refer to an object or ornament that serves a purpose, but isn't important as a thimble. In some cultures, trinkets are used to signify friendship or affection, especially between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets, unlike other items that can be upgraded, can be exchanged at any time without losing stats.

The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and the capital of each zone, and in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be bought with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrading a trinket is an affordable alternative to buying a new one. One can upgrade a trinket with just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base level as the previous trinket however, it will also come with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

When the old Trinkets are not usable, they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value with time. They can be traded between players, making them an alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are upgraded first then their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment they won't replace in the near future (such as a ring or an cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when selecting the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player and they want to upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.

Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they're no longer needed, and the new trinket will have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. Re-upgrading can cause damage to the trinket unless it is salvaged with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, but is still cheaper than purchasing a new one.
