A player can turn an item to upgrade it into another item by selecting it and pressing the green button with an arrow for reroll. This will alter the layout and let players select up to six items to be used for "recycling". The item that is recycled can be exchanged for an item of level 1 of the same type. Recycled items will not keep their status, nor will the resources used to upgrade them.

The maximum upgrade level of an item upgrading is determined by the item's tier and its quality.
