World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also increase bonuses such as PvE damage and crit chance.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will be able to gain 3% of its previous damage every time it's upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or impact while they're being used. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to a blue level before the component can be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may be prefixed or a suffix, modifying the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for examplethe "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions using fewer Upgrade crystals than they would need to reach the same level using standard methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defense attributes of the weapon or armor. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop or collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

The player can have up to five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of the item will appear at the time of the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know how much it can be improved upon a reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be costly, and there is a substantial risk that the item may be obsolete or even break when it fails. A failure to upgrade can ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded Best item upgrade. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within their radius, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

It is commonplace to see in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and give significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the many Glyphs as well as some rare Glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in a crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and when enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrade a piece of equipment the original item will be replaced with the new item. The same armor will be upgraded to an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This can be a downside in that the item could increase in price even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrader kit upgrades. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that has a level 1 basis and totally different bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, but it's not something that should be repeated often, as it could waste a lot of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled multiple times which increases their value and allows the player to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants buffs when the player continuously enters or exits water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP, as an item that is properly rolled it could be worth between 20 and 50x its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

Each Best item upgrader can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original condition, which requires the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition, the item level upgrade will lose any bonus it earned, including crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or reload speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon increases its crit chance that it will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. Slots is a new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its base value. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items might have different upgrade requirements from standard gear. For instance they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. The player will need to bring every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade will require different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the expenses that are listed above.
